08-Jan-13 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2013 gets off to an auspicious start for Cambria Press and its authors at the hugely successful 2013 MLA annual convention in Boston!

Happy New Year from Cambria Press!

2013 is already off to an auspicious start for Cambria Press! The 2013 Modern Language Association (MLA) annual convention in Boston was a huge success and exceeded expectations!

Cambria Press authors who attended included Nobel Prize Winner in Literature Gao Xingjian and Dr. Mabel Lee (translator of Gao Xingjian’s works) for the launch of his book , Gao Xingjian: Aesthetics and Creation, which was published in time by Cambria Press for the MLA annual convention. This book is part of the Cambria Sinophone World Series headed by Professor Victor Mair, who officially launched Gao Xingjian’s book with for Cambria Press.

Another book that is also in the Cambria Sinophone World Series that was published just in time for the MLA annual convention is the highly praised Rethinking Chineseness: Translational Sinophone Identities in the Nanyang Literary World by Professor E. K. Tan.

There was a lot of traffic at the Cambria Press booth, with some visitors coming from across the world to celebrate Gao Xingjian’s new book by Cambria Press.
